What-We-Do

As a leading charitable organization representing the local Indo-American Community, IACF Charter is to serve the Greater Houston Area by accomplishing the following objectives:

  • Support emerging charities that focus on providing social services to the local community.
  • Devote and volunteer time to uplift the needy and support social causes through IACF Volunteer Corps.
  • Create visibility and recognition of the Indo-American Community’s philanthropic efforts.
  • Encourage and collect contributions from the community and businesses, and channel these donations to local charities

Major Activities in 2015

  •  IACF Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Quail Valley Golf Course, Missouri City, TX.
  •  IACF Desi Grandparents Day featuring medical checkups and games for kids and their grandparents.
  •  Community Outreach and Pre-Gala Outreach event for young Indian Americans at a Summer Soiree at Elaine Turner at City Centre.
  •  Annual Gala at the Marriott Hotel in Town Centre in Sugar Land, honoring the Gen-Next Influential Friends of Charities individuals.
  •  Coordinated with Friends Helping Friends to provide flu vacine shots at the Turning Point Shelter in Spring Branch.
  •  In conjunction with the Ft Bend ISD, held an award program to hand out $24,000 in scholarships and also several grants to local charities.
